“There is something deeply within us, a movement, a rythme, an energy that through lack of acknowledgment and habitual conditioning lies dormant. Its elusiveness may prevail in spite of yoga practice but awakens when conditions are favorable. The awakening is initially physiological but then spreads into other areas of our experience.”
Through Somatics, through creating a safe space in your body, you become aware of the root cause of many of your struggles.
Embodiment says that everything around us influences our state of being. As ever-changing beings, the more we tap into our bodies, the more we find answers. My work primarily focuses on patterns, internal beliefs, and ancient wounds, which may be inherited or due to an excessive load (stress responses)
Embodiment and Somatics is about cultivating presence through the body and our senses. It is about learning to drop our agenda. Staying present, curious, and fully engaging with our body and senses is crucial. It is about befriending your body and nervous system. To be in a relationship with all and to learn not to bypass emotions.
Your language often changes because you become aware of the different states you create in your body when you change your wording and inner talk. As you progress in your practice, you'll focus more on opportunities, having 'cleaned your lenses,' and gaining a new perspective on life. You learn to break patterns this way, first through the sensory experience.
It can be like "Pausing and being curious about how dysregulated that thought, about yourself, your work, made you feel in your body and reverse engineering."
A somatic and functional approach to Yoga makes your practice practical and accessible, allowing you to apply what you learn on the mat to daily life. This gentle flow practice emphasizes reconnecting with bodily sensations and harnesses your body's inner intelligence. You will experience a transformational journey that alleviates stiffness, releases tension, reconnects you with your breath, and fosters ease and grounding. We focus on body awareness—interoception and proprioception—essential for daily life. Create a safe space to explore stability, mobility, and breath. Understanding your body's support mechanisms enhances trust and fosters a sense of aliveness and presence. My work draws inspiration from mentors like Julie Martin (Brahmani Yoga), Vanda Scaravelli, John Stirk, Ido Portal, Gary Carter, and Paul Grilley, encouraging a practice rooted in curiosity.

❝ Before working with Anastacia, I struggled to feel grounded and present in my own body. Her somatic practices were not just exercises-they were a complete shift in how I understand myself. I've never felt more resilient and at peace. ❞
